Sakura Season at The Ned

Graphic Design | Art Direction | Print Design | Photography & Videography

This year to celebrate sakura season at The Ned, we collaborated with the House of Suntory and London based Japanese artist, Hiroko Imada, to create a faux stained glass window installation in the windows of Japanese restaurant, Kaia. She was commissioned to create a triptych of sakura themed wood-block prints inspired by the flavours of Roku gin and her memories of sakura season from her childhood in Japan.

This 360 campaign was created in collaboration with The House of Suntory, which included a social campaign with both video and photo storytelling, as well as a special cocktail menu and a bespoke dessert created using Suntory Hakushu 12yr Old.

To launch the campaign, we hosted a press lunch with custom gifting, including Roku gin, wrapped in a traditional Furoshiki style using custom printed fabric. Hiroko led a woodblock printing demonstration and workshop, followed by a bespoke menu featuring Kaia’s specials, as well as cocktails made with The House of Suntory. Custom mats with Hiroko's artwork were also created as part of the workshop.
